UniCloud Security Fundamentals

The UniCloud platform’s fundamental architecture was planned and built with the most strict, up-to-date security, availability, and data protection measures in mind.

Planned as a secure, multilayer, multitenant platform, UniCloud enables its users to use an advanced, up-to-date, and scalable IIoT solution at the heart of their operation.

Using UniCloud, you and your customers benefit from high security standards and solid infrastructure requirements in today’s business environment.

UniCloud is ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 certified, enhancing your capacity to meet customers compliance and security requirements while also allowing you to explore new business opportunities.

Security Infrastructure

  • Data is encrypted at REST and in Transit
  • Encrypted REST APIs over TLS
  • MQTT X.509 certificate authentication – used to verify whether a public key corresponds to a user, computer, or service identity.
  • Protected with strict WAF rules against common attack patterns such as SQL injections, cross-side scripting, and more
  • AWS resources are audited via CloudTail
  • Anti-virus: runs on all machines

ISO 27001 and 27017 Certification:

UniCloud is certified by

  • ISO/IEC 27001:2013: An international standard for managing information security and best practices for an organization.
  • ISO/IEC 27017:2015: An international security standard for cloud service providers and users to create a safer cloud-based environment for users and reduce the risk of security issues.

Application Security:

  • Role-based authentication – Enable administrators to manage users and define which roles and permission each user will have.
  • Strict password policy – Each user has his own unique user and password via authentication method.
  • Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

Secure Remote Access to PLCs:

Secure access to your machines for remote maintenance: you can establish a private, secure VPN connection to remotely maintain your PLC. If your PLC supports VNC or Webserver, you can securely use these services without the need for a fixed IP address.

24/7 Security and Network Monitoring

The system is monitored 24/7 by a Security Operations Center (SOC) and a Network Operations Centre (NOC), to ensure UniCloud availability and handle security network threats and performance issues.
